So it has been awhile since I have posted, let a lone posted with updated pictures. A lot has happened since our last post. Just a quick side note, it looks like I was right calling Duke for the Champs...
I had to take the Praxis II exam and passed it with a 154. I was stoked because I needed a 143 for Id and a 150 for Ut. Now I have to take the Praxis I exam tomorrow. I hope I do well on that one also because it is supposed to be easier than the second.
So Koy has finally decided it was his turn to fall down the stairs. Except not by himself. He was sitting on his little non-motorized four wheeler and I don't know if he centered up and thought he could go down them or if his tire got too close to the edge and he slipped off the side. Luckily we have 3 stairs and then a platform where they turn and go all the way to the bottom. I was downstairs in the laundry room when I heard his bike tumbling. I spun around the corner and luckily he had landed at the platform, because the bike was at the end of the staircase. By the time I got to him he has started to bleed.
He just gushed with blood. He was screaming and freaking out. I had to call my mom over to help me figure out where all the blood was coming from and if he would need stitches. Both nostrils bled along with a cut on the top lip. Nothing too bad though. His nose did start to swell, but I called the doctor's office and they doubted it was broken. Well to add to the story he had just started getting a cold 2 days prior. By now, his nose was a snot faucet. his whole nose and top lip were so tender he wouldn't let us hardly wipe it with a Kleenex. His fall took place on a Thurs. afternoon.
Then on Sunday we were kinda thinking he might have an ear infection, on Wed. I finally took him in. He did. They gave him amoxicillin. After he was on that for 1 week, he broke out in a rash that covered his entire body (photo #2). Luckily it didn't itch and he was quite proud of it. I had to take him back in and they switched his medicine. We are not for sure it was his medicine or just from the infection itself. They went away a couple days later. He has really been a good sport though considering.Annikan and her fam (excluding Mike) came down for their spring break. It was a lot of fun. My mom and Rob put on an Easter egg hunt in the house for the kids. They absolutely loved it. We blew eggs, and dyed eggs. Koy was too much help this year compared to last. So he only got to do 2 or 3. Koy and I also got the privilege of participating in the annual Burns' Easter egg hunt at Grandma Burns's house. That it always fun and brings back so many good memories. Koy got a little sword, a pair of shorts, two tops, sunglasses with his play cellphone, and a new church outfit. He looks so handsome in his new outfit.Kelly took a stealhead fishing trip with his brother's family. They went to Riggins, ID. Kelly had a lot of success. He caught 12 one day and 8 the next. I think he said all were wild, except for 3. They didn't keep any though because they had no room.
I just started playing volleyball last week on a comp. league down in Smithfield. It was fun. It is a really good work out. Kelly and I participated in our ward's golden green ball last month and got to perform our final routine on the 9th of this month. We had a really fun time and I think it was a success. I hope that somewhat brought you all up to date with our family. Until next time! Chow!!
